September 22, 2008 Dallas, TX – Ticketsoft Introduces Self-Service Movie Ticket Refunds for Online Ticketing

Movie-goers may now change their plans and receive a full refund with a single mouse click.

Ticketsoft software allows customers to refund their online ticket purchase up to one hour before show time. With traditional online ticketing services, refunds are not allowed, and those customer service departments are often understaffed or unreachable. Ticketsoft’s custom online ticketing system allows its customers to offer this unique service without adding staff.

“Plans for a night out at the movies can change for a variety of reasons, and online ticket buyers now have a ‘no questions asked’ option to get their money back if they cannot make it to the movies”, according to Philip Wood, President of Ticketsoft. “Movie-goers should expect to receive superior customer service for the convenience fees they pay for online ticketing, and this new feature provides added value when buying tickets online.” A secure link is sent in the order confirmation email that allows a refund to be processed by the customer from a web browser. The refunded tickets may be immediately re-sold by the theatre and it works in open or reserved seating environments.

“Ticketsoft has enabled Landmark Theatres to further elevate the customer experience by not leaving a bad aftertaste from overly restrictive refund policies,” says Bryan Linington, Director of Technology for Landmark Theatres. “Customers should not be penalized for an error in their purchase, nor should they have to go to the theatre to secure a refund for an online purchase. Results are immediate - both customer and exhibitor are happy. It’s a self-service solution to a long standing problem, which we have been more than happy to implement.”

March 10, 2008 Dallas, TX – Ticketsoft Adds Digital Signage With Microsoft WPF Technology For Movie Theatre Operators.

Ticketsoft, LLC, announces the availabilty of its QuikSilver digital signage system for movie theatres. QuikSilver uses information from point of sale systems to render data driven dynamic content on LCD screens throughout a movie theatre. This includes box office marquees, concession menu boards, poster cases, or auditorium door displays. In-theatre point of sale showtime and pricing information is instantly distributed to all LCD screens, and circuit wide graphical content is distributed to all locations from a secure centralized web site.

“We are excited to introduce a flexible and robust application for the unique needs of movie theatres. As an add on to Ticketsoft’s comprehensive point of sale systems, or an existing theatre’s system, QuikSilver renders compelling displays to provide information, increase concession sales through product placement, or generate advertising revenue”, said Philip Wood, President. QuikSilver design templates and Microsoft’s powerful WPF technology make it easy to deploy new content to an entire theatre circuit. The system will be on display at Bally’s Las Vegas at the Ticketsoft booth from March 11 through March 13.

“Ticketsoft has leveraged .NET in a manner that enhances the multimedia user experience a movie theater is able to provide its customers,” said Chris Sakalosky, South Central Area general manager for Microsoft’s Small to Midsized Solutions and Partners Group. “Whether it’s buying popcorn, purchasing movie tickets, or recharging a gift card, the benefits realized by Ticketsoft’s customers allow them to give their patrons a rich and satisfying experience through a reliable technology.”

Ticketsoft Debuts Reserved Seating for Movie Theatres

June 2007

Ticketsoft has added reserved seating to its Theatre Management Series (TMS) software. Using TMS, “The Landmark” theatre in Los Angeles opened June 1st with the ability to reserve seats online at http://tickets.landmarktheatres.com and all point-of-sale terminals including the oversized, self-service kiosks in the lobby. Twenty-inch touch-screen monitors display auditorium layouts for easy seat selection.

“It is exciting to watch Landmark deploy the new, customer-friendly features we have in our system,” said Philip Wood, Ticketsoft President. “The initial response has been extremely positive, and we are looking forward to a wider implementation that could change the movie-going experience in several markets.”

TMS’ internet ticketing features allow customers to print bar-coded tickets at home. Ushers scan the tickets with wireless devices to speed moviegoers to their reserved seats. The process eliminates the long lines that are common at popular movies. Buying reserved seats from a web browser also allows you to pick your favorite seat, not just any seat.

“The Landmark” is the new flagship venue of Landmark Theatres, the nation's largest theatre chain dedicated primarily to exhibiting and marketing independent film. Landmark is a recognized leader in the industry for providing consistently diverse and entertaining film product in a sophisticated, adult-oriented atmosphere to its customers.

Introducing Ticketsoft’s
Theatre Management Series (TMS)

Simple. They have tried all the others and they know the best when they see it. Their customers and employees deserve the best. To succeed in today’s economic environment, you need new technology to exceed customer expectations for convenience, and timely information to operate your facilities efficiently.

For theatre employees, your point of sale system must be reliable, comprehensive, and intuitive to operate. You want them focused on customer service and not distributing reports. All they should have to do is use the system, and reporting should take care of itself. Ticketsoft systems automatically distribute information at scheduled or real-time intervals to your corporate office or various third parties as transactions happen. Movies and concession items are set up at your corporate office one time and pushed to the theatres, providing consistency for reporting throughout your chain. Advanced internet ticketing features including print-at-home ticket redemption for hand-held devices are standard features. Tickets and concessions may be sold from the same terminal if you want to operate with fewer employees during slower times.

For your corporate office, one person can set up and distribute booking information to your entire circuit. The same efficiency exists in Ticketsoft’s box office, inventory, film payment, and time and attendance systems, allowing you to get more done in less time with fewer employees. Our real-time Theatre Circuit Board® shows you exactly what is going on in your theatre at any moment from your web browser.

For value, you cannot get any better than Ticketsoft. All systems, support, and upgrades are included in an affordable monthly per-theatre license fee. There is no initial license fee. We do not take a ‘piece of the action’ by charging internet, gift card, or credit card transaction fees. You keep 100% of the internet surcharges from your online operations while we provide the mission critical stability you need. Does this sound too good to be true? It’s not. We are different. Just ask our customers. We have not lost one to the other guys.

Designed exclusively for the theatre exhibition industry from the ground up, our Theatre Management Series (TMS) software delivers a state-of-the-art solution for exhibitors of any size at a much lower cost than that of our competition. TMS is a feature rich, fully integrated system which combines virtually every element of exhibition operation and management into an easy to use, affordable and reliable system. TMS is a Microsoft® Windows based solution utilizing the perfect combination of client/server, web, and SQL technology to create a scalable, high availability system that is second to none.
